How do I get my domain ready for Lead Science?
In order for Lead Science to verify your domain is secure and launch your website, our IT team will need to add records to the domain via your registrar. (Registrar examples are GoDaddy, Network Solutions, register.com)
Below are different scenarios and what the next steps are for you, depending on which describes your specific level of access:
If
You have log-in information for you domain via your registrar.
Then...
Our Project Coordinator will go over the next steps on the Kick-off Call.
If
You know you own your domain, but don’t have log-in information to the registrar.
Then...
Please start asking who may have that access in your company.
If
Your current website provider owns the domain.
Then...
They will need to transfer the domain in to a registrar owned by your company. The easiest is GoDaddy and our Project Coordinator can walk you through the steps to set up an account and the next steps needed.
If
You don’t know anything about the domain.
Then...
Your current provider most likely has control and access. You can use the tool https://whois.domaintools.com and check to see where the domain is registered to see if anyone in your company has access. Your Lead Science Project Coordinator can help you with the next steps with this process.
